My name is Lauren Petrovich and I am a sophomore at the ASU Tempe campus. I love meeting new poeple and being involved, which is why I am part of Greek Life here on campus. Traveling is something that I love to do, and I have been to Europe a few times, Central America, and Australia. I enjoy being in a different culture and having the opportunity to learn about how other people live. After college, I would love to be able to travel the world.
I love being around children and helping them as much as possible, and because of this, I want to one day be an occupational therapist. I had a friend in high school who was involved in a car accident which left her in a coma for 8 weeks and living in a rehabilitation institute for about 3 months, and having the chance to see her progress after going to occupational therapy with her every week inspired me to want to one day help other kids have a second chance of living a regular life after an unfortunate incident. This is what keeps me going when I am struggling through a hard class.

On a higher note, one of my favorite things to do is hang out with my friends. I have the best support group in my friends and I don't know what I would do without them. I have the wonderful opportunity of getting to live with many of them this year, and so far it has been the best experience I could ask for. I am so lucky to have such a great group of people in my life and could not ask for anything else. We do almost everything together, and I am loving every minute of college because of my great friends.

Hi Lauren
ReplyDeleteThe blog looks fantastic. :-) Thanks for sharing so much about your life and interests! I especially enjoyed learning about the reason you chose to pursue a career in Occupational Therapy - your ability to relate to children, your friends, and to enjoy travel tells me you have social intelligence, which can be useful when it comes to analysis in academic writing. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better, Lauren. Enjoy the week! -AP
